Terms of Service

- Provide accurate, current profile information and do not impersonate another person. - Keep your password and device secure. Notify support if you believe your account has been compromised. - You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by Run Bud’s own systems.

- Use Run Bud only to form respectful running partnerships and communicate with runners. - You must follow the Community Guidelines. - Harassment, unwanted romantic or sexual contact, stalking, threats, discrimination, scams, spam, privacy violations, malicious links, deception, and illegal or dangerous activity are prohibited.

- You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile text, selected photos, messages, and report details. - You give Run Bud a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service and to handle safety reports. - This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for narrowly retained safety records described in the Privacy Policy or where continued processing is otherwise required. - You must have the right to submit your content and must not violate another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights.

- Connections and messages do not mean endorsement, verification, romantic interest, or a guarantee of compatibility. - Run Bud does not verify identities or perform background checks. - A submitted run area and approximate distance are discovery preferences. They do not prove where a person currently is or verify identity or safety. - You decide whether, when, and how to meet another runner. Review Run Bud’s Meeting Safety guidance and use your own judgment. - Run Bud cannot guarantee another user’s identity, conduct, fitness, compatibility, or safety.

You may block and report runners. Run Bud may investigate reported conduct and may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts when appropriate, but Run Bud does not promise a specific outcome or response time. Run Bud may preserve limited moderation evidence as described in the Privacy Policy.

You may permanently delete your account through the app. Ordinary account and social data is removed through the implemented deletion process, while limited reports and moderation evidence may remain temporarily as described in the Privacy Policy.

Run Bud’s name, software, design, and original service content belong to Jack Kleinschmit or applicable licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights to users.

Run Bud relies on third-party services including Supabase. Third-party outages, changes, and processing may affect availability. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their terms.

The private beta is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Run Bud does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, particular running results, compatibility, user verification, or safety. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Run Bud is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from beta interruption or interactions between users. Any final limitation of liability, liability cap, governing law, venue, dispute-resolution process, or related provision should be established based on the actual operation of Run Bud and applicable law.
