Community Guidelines

Run Bud helps people form safe and supportive running partnerships.

Respect the Purpose

Treat every runner with respect. A connection, accepted request, or message does not imply romantic or sexual interest. Unwanted romantic or sexual messages are prohibited. Respect another person’s pace, ability, physical boundaries, and decision to end a run, connection, or conversation.

Do Not Harass or Harm Others

- Do not repeatedly contact someone after rejection, removal, or a lack of response. - Do not harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, coerce, or encourage harm. - Do not use hate speech or discriminate based on identity or protected characteristics. - Do not pressure anyone to share an exact home location or other sensitive information. - Do not treat a general area or approximate distance as proof of someone’s current location, identity, or safety. - Do not share another person’s private information without permission.

Be Authentic and Lawful

- Do not impersonate others or use deceptive profiles or material misrepresentations. - Do not send spam, scams, commercial solicitations, or malicious links. - Do not use Run Bud to facilitate illegal or dangerous activity.

Blocking, Reporting, and Enforcement

You can block or report a runner from their profile. Reports are private and may preserve a limited snapshot of profile or conversation context for review. Reports may lead to a warning, restriction, suspension, or account removal. Run Bud does not promise a particular moderation outcome or response time. Run Bud does not perform background checks or guarantee another user’s conduct.

Emergencies

Run Bud is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, leave the situation and contact local emergency services. For non-emergency safety concerns involving Run Bud, use the in-app reporting tools where possible or contact:
